Just like every other week, this week ended with a Saturday. But there was something different about this particular Saturday. As the sun rose over Eastern Pennsylvania, there was something special in the air. In a church nearby, something magical was about to happen. As Sandy sat anxiously in an unassuming room of the church, her maid of honor, and sister Lisa putting the finishing touches on her makeup, you could feel the electricity in the air.
Across the church, in another room, David and his friends, dressed to the nines, patiently awaited the signal for them to begin one of the most exciting days of his life. Wearing black on white, the men made their way to the church as the melodies began to swell and the sounds of organs filled the morning air.
As Sandy’s veil was lowered over her face, tears began to glisten in her mothers eyes.
They approached. The quiet steps on the aisle carpet as the flower girl pranced toward the alter, and the look on Sandy’s father’s face as he walked his daughter towards her future. David wore his joy on his face for everyone to see. A beautiful union in the making.
Disclaimer: I am no writer, but if I did not have a camera, this is the best I could do to describe the beautiful morning moments that I witnessed at Sandy and David’s wedding this weekend. Luckily for all of you, I did have a camera, so I will let the images speak the words I could not articulate effectively. Feel free to leave comments at the bottom of the post!
Big ups to Miguel Serrano for coming out and shooting with me!
I present to you Sandy and David.
